Mountain hiking

Summer in the Alps encompasses a whole range of events and activities which are absent during the winter season, these include but are not limited to: festivals, street fairs and cultural events in the sunshine. Outdoor cafés are a major feature of a French Alps summer and you can spend hours in complete contentment just drinking in the atmosphere of the place. You can also explore the mountains by walking or hiking or even go for a swim in the lakes. If you like good food, then you can eat your fill of the sumptuous regional cuisine and delicacies that are on offer. All in all, summer is a fantastic time in the Alps which you should definitely experience for yourself.

Hiking the alps in Summer is such an amazing experience. The cool, dry climate is perfect for a walk, and views are just perfect!

This sounds like an exciting adventure that i definitely would be interested in looking into further. It sounds like a trek i did in New Zealand not too long ago. It would be interesting to see if I’m still fit enough to do this although the cold might get to me now a days.

The trouble with the Alps is that it’s all up and down, aren’t there any plateaus where you can get a break. At least if you hike to the top of a table mountain you can enjoy the views rather than wondering all the time if you will fall off a cliff.

Hmmm sounds like a lot of work hiking through all those hills. I wonder if you can hire a sherper to carry you up. That would be cool. You get to see all the scenery, experience the weather, and can relax up top with a picnic

Oh, an Alpine summer would be better than the wintertime I think. It’s a lot warmer! I tried trudging around in the snow on the Aussie ski fields once. Not too much fun when you’re shivering so much that your toes are gonna fall off! Give me a warm munny hike anyday.
