Many people say that you’ve never truly experienced the full beauty of skiing until you’ve negotiated you’re way down one of The Alps’ numerous ski slopes. True or untrue? The only way to find out is to visit this glorious region for yourself, strap on some skis and glide over the cotton wool snow. I’ve yet to know anyone give anything but a glowing report of skiing in this awesome location.

I loved my Alps trip and this site brought it all back. Only problem we had was with car hire which was so expensive when we hired from the Swiss side of Geneva airport. I have heard that the French car hire is much cheaper, can anyone confirm that? Any other tips on making the most of the trip next spring would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Today I am sitting dreaming about the Alps and how I can get back there as soon as possible. Every day of my holiday was just wonderful and I would go again as soon as I can. I loved the food and the people and the hotels were fantastic value for money. So much to see and so many things to do it really was a great holiday for me and the kids. Since I lost my wife there have not been too many happy times.

People visit this most beautiful area of Northern Europe for many different reasons, be it for sporting activities, to photograph the truly wonderful landscapes or even just to enjoy the great food and drink offered by the hospitable locals! This most famous of mountain ranges is unique in the fact that it straddles some of Europe’s most beautiful countries, thus opening up many new cultures to the knowledge hungry traveller.

I must say that the French Alps provide everything you could ever wish for when going on holiday. This is one of the reasons why my family go there every year, and also to polish up on our French. In my humble opinion nothing else can quite compare to going off piste in the Ski season, or perhaps relaxing in a luxurious ski chalet. I would recommend a ski holiday package and perhaps renting equipment if it’s your first time skiing.
