Adventure lovers can have their fill of the many exciting activities that await them in the Alps. Of course, skiing on the most challenging mountain slopes is one of them and another activity that is growing in popularity is Alps snowboarding. However, there are other things that guests can do such as horse riding and Alps cycling. The many twisting trails throughout the Alps are ideal for these two activities.

The more intrepid tourists can also try canoeing, kayaking, sailing, sky diving, swimming, white water rafting or even Alps mountaineering. If the aforementioned activities sound too much like hard work there is always the Alps trekking option, taken at your own pace and in your own time. After a long day of fun and exertion guests can relax while they are luxuriously pampered at any one of the exclusive spa resorts found in the Alps. Go on, book your ticket you wont regret it.

Wow! Thankfully I’ve stumbled across your site and I’ve found some very useful information. I wasn’t even aware that you could go Kayaking or canoeing neat the Alps. I shall definitely have to check out whether or not this is offered during the winter months, or if it’s perhaps too cold. It just goes to show that there are many more activities you can do apart from skiing in the Alps. Thank you for providing this short overview, without it I would have been none the wiser.

Is there a a way to take a motorbike right to the top? Or as near as is possible. I see that the cyclists get up quite high during the tour but don’t know if there would be any oxygen problems with a normally aspirated bike. It just sound like a great thing to do given the total reliability of today’s trail bikes.

Being a relativley easy flight from the UK The Alps are a perfect location for anyone looking to experience a break that offers something a little different. If you’re bored of sleeping in the sun for two weeks every year and I can understand why, then a visit to this stunning mountain range is sure to reignite your passion for life. I’m sure I’m not alone in my quest to escape the seasonal migration to the Costa’s!

I took my BM all the way to the top without any problem. I slept where the fancy took me by just parking up next to a field and packing up early in the morning. Sleeping in that mountain air was wonderful and it meant I had complete freedom. Every three days I checked into a hotel to make sure I had a shower and a sleep in a comfy bed but apart from that it was all alfresco.

Visiting The Alps region is a great idea if you’re looking for a romantic break for two, especially at Christmastime. One thing’s for sure, the snow’s guaranteed as is the beautiful mountain air and gorgeous nature trails! Or if you fancy working off a traditional French or German Christmas lunch you can always hit the slopes, a sure fire way to work off those added seasonal calories.
