We stayed in a very nice Ski chalet in the Val D’Isere a few years ago. It had everything you could possible hope and wish for in a self-catered accommodation. The entertainment facilities were superb as were the size of the rooms, and level of service from the staff that worked there. I believe the name was Chardon Mountain lodges, but I can’t be too sure as it was a good few years ago. I would definitely like to return there in the new feature, can anyone tell me if it’s still going? Thanks in advance.

But where are the whistling marmosets? You take a look at the guides and they all say the morning air is rent by the anguished cries and mating alls of the whistling marmosets. Well I spent countless hours with binoculars and recording equipment linked to a directional mike and never heard a thing apart from barking dogs. Any one know where the real thing is or was I just unlucky?

I’m sure The Alps are a great place to spend the festive season but what about booking and prices? Do prices escalate in December and January? And what about availability? I wonder does everything book up extremely quickly. I’m sure with having an enthusiastic family in tow a chalet would be the ideal solution. In fact i’ve just noticed some fantastic chalets for rent in The French Alps here on this site, maybe that’s the solution to my problem.

Hey man, forget the whistling marmosets. I shoudda taken my critter rifle and I could have bagged you a few. What are they? Some sort of rat crossed with a groundhog? Get a life. You sit up in the mountains in an area packed with swiss chicks to die for and you are recording mating rats. Geez, you must be a sensation at parties. Open your eyes bro and smell the coffee. As for the Italian pastries, yum yum.

I wonder, do any visitors to this site have any photographs of accommodation they’ve stayed in whilst visiting The Alps? Perhaps you could upload them so that I can get an idea of what to expect from the various styles of accommodation on offer. I’ve never visited the region before and I am assuming that most, if not all, accommodation is of a very high standard. A few pictures though would certainly put my worrying mind to rest, Thanks in anticipation.

I had a great time on my Alps holiday, I had been in town training for a wedding speech, I was nervous and worried about public speaking, the wedding was in sheffield. I had some great training in town, the speech went brilliantly and my Alps holiday was the perfect way to unwind.
